Celebrating the 500th Commemoration of the Reformation
April 26, 2017
Identifying and Sharing Common Ground with our Lutheran Brothers and Sisters
Catholics are called to commemorate the event by
focusing on concrete ways to express and
strengthen the doctrinal agreements reached by
Catholic and Lutheran theologians over the most
recent 50 years.
The most appropriate way to mark the
anniversary, according to Pope Francis, is
with common prayer and renewed
commitment to work together to help
the poor and to promote justice.
|Save the date for a very important evening of commemoration co-hosted by Pastor Terri Stagner-Collier, from Cross of Life Lutheran Church in Roswell and our own Father Dan Fleming. All are invited to attend an evening meal and discussion centered on the 500th Commemoration of the Reformation–a sixteenth century movement from which the Protestant churches originated.
